EVENT︱Paris Design Week : Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche
An exclusive launch at Parisian’s most iconic department store To celebrate its Parisian debut, Source Édition is proud to present a curated selection of its first collection at Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche, as part of Paris Design Week 2025. Located in the heart of the Left Bank, Le Bon Marché is more than a department store—it is a cultural destination, known for its discerning eye and elegant curations. Within a dedicated space on the second floor, Source Édition unveils its first pieces available for purchase: faithful reissues of iconic furniture, lighting, and accessories from the 1950s to 1970s. Each object is produced with the same ethos that guides all of Source Édition’s work—respect for the original design, excellence in craftsmanship, and a commitment to sustainability. All pieces are made in France and Italy, in close collaboration with designers’ families, archives, and the Mobilier national. This presentation marks the exclusive retail launch of Source Édition. It is the first time the collection is offered for sale, allowing visitors, collectors, and design lovers to take home a fragment of modernist history—revived with rigor and intention. A New Chapter for Historic Design With this presence at Le Bon Marché, Source Édition bridges design and contemporary retail. A dialogue between memory, matter, and meaning As part of Paris Design Week 2025, Source Édition is honored to present the complete exhibition of its first collection within an exceptional setting: the Chapelle of the Manufacture des Gobelins, at the heart of the Mobilier national. A place steeped in history, the Chapelle becomes a sanctuary for design. Beneath its vaulted ceiling, iconic pieces from the golden age of modernism—1950s to 1970s—are reawakened. Each object has been reissued with meticulous care, in dialogue with the designers’ estates and under the guidance of the Mobilier national, the French institution dedicated to preserving and promoting design heritage. This exhibition is more than a presentation: it is an experience. It invites visitors to rediscover the intelligence of form, the nobility of materials, and the poetry of function. The scenography, developed especially for the site, highlights the timeless relevance of these historic works and the savoir-faire that brings them back to life. All pieces are manufactured in France and Italy by master artisans and industrials, using sustainable, traceable materials. Faithful to the original designs—yet rooted in contemporary values—each re-edition is both a tribute and a new beginning. A Historic Partnership This exhibition is the result of an ongoing collaboration between Source Édition and the Mobilier national. Together, we share a mission: to preserve, activate, and transmit the material culture of design. With this collection, Source Édition renews the stories written by visionary designers—André Monpoix, Turenne Chevallereau, Claude Courtecuisse, Ben Swildens and Giuseppe Rivadossi —while anchoring them firmly in the present.
