Design & History

Designed in 1968, these avant-garde pieces blend industrial elements with tool-free assembly, foreshadowing the rise of flat-pack furniture. Their ingenious structure relies on a leg system simply slid into the corners, offering modularity and lightness. Easy to disassemble, transport, and reassemble, they are true travel furniture that accompany you throughout life.

The name TU-TU references traditional wood joinery techniques, particularly "tenons and mortises" while paying homage to the designer’s first name and nickname.
TU-TU comes in 5 colors. Made in Italy, Paris-Texas by the French brand Casamance is a cotton-linen blend fabric, mercerized, emerized, and Oeko-Tex certified for softness, durability, and safety. Its high Martindale rating makes it ideal for intensive use.
