Another standout inaugural project at the LABÓ: Source Édition.
This new brand, unveiled during Milan Design Week, was born from the initiative of Isabelle de Ponfilly (Managing Director of Vitra France for 26 years) and her daughter Joséphine Bursacchi. Through this family project, they aim to revive major pieces from the 1950s to the 1970s, honoring key figures in the history of decorative arts and preserving their legacy, while making it compatible with today’s demands for style, ethics, and quality.The first collection was presented simultaneously in Milan: at Villa Borsani, as part of Alcova, and at the LABÓ, in partnership with the Mobilier National. Several iconic pieces were selected from the Mobilier National archives, such as André Monpoix’s seating, designed for the office of Simone Veil when she was Minister of Health, and Turenne Chevallereau’s modular tables. To these are added Ben Swildens’s multifunctional lamp, Claude Courtecuisse’s porcelain soliflore, and Giuseppe Rivadossi’s sculpted benches.
