Dialogue, the seat designed by André Monpoix, reissued by Source Édition and originally launched in 1967, is a reminder that postwar France knew how to combine solid wood and pure lines with as much boldness as its Italian neighbors. While Bellini sought the fluidity of a system, Monpoix pursued the balance between traditional materials and ultra-modern lines: two parallel approaches, two timeless answers to the same question—how to sit within one’s era without ever being confined by it.

Dialogue, l’assise d’André Monpoix, rééditée par Source Édition et initialement lancée en 1967, rappelle que la France d’après-guerre savait marier bois massif et lignes pures avec autant d’audace que ses voisins transalpins. Bellini cherchait la fluidité d’un système, Monpoix l’équilibre entre matières traditionnelles et lignes ultra modernes : deux approches parallèles, deux réponses intemporelles à la même question : comment s’asseoir dans son époque sans jamais s’y enfermer.
