Generations of Design

The birth of a new design publishing house is always good news. We can therefore celebrate the launch of Source Édition this spring. Its credo? To reissue furniture, lighting, and accessories from the 1950s to the 1970s.
At the helm are Isabelle de Ponfilly and Joséphine Bursacchi — two women who know each other well: the former was the director of Vitra France, and the latter an expert in vintage furniture and the art market. They are also, above all, mother and daughter. Together, they aim to revive timeless pieces designed by creators whose work carries both a rich history and strong values of sustainability. For this first manifesto collection, the duo has drawn from the archives of the Mobilier National, with whom they have established a partnership, to bring back modular seating by André Monpoix and flat-pack tables by Turenne Chevallereau, alongside other pieces by French, Dutch, and Italian designers. A family project dedicated to the history of design.
