Behind this newcomer is a beautiful story between a mother and her daughter: Isabelle de Ponfilly (left), who led Vitra France for over twenty years, and Joséphine Bursacchi (right), a passionate vintage design enthusiast.
Together, they created this publishing house to bring historic furniture back to life—pieces that were never produced in series. For this fair, they collaborated with various rights holders, including the Mobilier National, with whom they are reissuing André Monpoix’s chairs, originally designed for Simone Veil’s office in the mid-1970s, as well as Turenne Chevallereau’s 1968 stool.
Unveiled during Milan Design Week, their first collection also includes the 10445 lamp designed in 1970 by Ben Swildens, porcelain vases by Claude Courtecuisse, and a 1970 bench by Giuseppe Rivadossi. Each piece is crafted in respect of the original sketches but using techniques and materials aligned with today’s ecological standards.
