Ben Swildens trained under Max Ingrand, the master glassmaker behind some of the twentieth century's most important lighting, before designing showrooms, sculpture and architecture across three continents.
Jumelles, from 1970, carries that discipline in miniature: a hand-blown glass globe held in a folded steel arc, equally at home as a wall light or a table lamp. Source Édition reissues it today in the finishes Swildens himself specified, remade in France for a room, or a life, it was always meant to outlast.
