Interiors play a central role in everyday life. Furniture, interior decoration, tableware, and textiles, the various sectors of the art of living, are moving into new venues across the capital. (Re)openings energized the year 2025. Whatever the architectural concept, showroom, flagship, concept store, or gallery, they all share a common ambition: to create a privileged, sensory, immersive experience.
SOURCE EDITION, AT THE ORIGINS OF MID-CENTURY DESIGN
A few months after its launch in Milan during the Salone del Mobile, Source Edition set up in Paris, just a stone’s throw from Place des Victoires. Isabelle de Ponfilly and her daughter Joséphine Bursachi founded Source Edition to bring forgotten designers from the 1950s to the 1970s back to life. The duo’s showroom invites visitors to rediscover André Monpoix, Turenne Chevallereau, Giuseppe Riviadossi, Ben Swildens, Claude Courtecuisse… Their furniture, objects, and lighting little known or never produced are handcrafted in France and Italy. The re-editions are displayed in the intimate setting of the Parisian gallery.
