The verdict came just before the start of 2026: Pantone has chosen Cloud Dancer as its Color of the Year, reflecting today’s desire for calm and clarity. More than a shade, it’s a decorating an invitation to rethink spaces and play with contrasts.
For 2026, Pantone surprises by putting Cloud Dancer (Pantone 11-4201) in the spotlight: a soft, subtle, almost ethereal white-symbolic of a fresh start and a welcome pause in a visually saturated world. The lightest tone ever selected by the institute, it isn’t simply another neutral: it “encourages true relaxation and a level of focus that lets the mind wander and creativity flourish, making room for innovation,” Pantone explains. A real contrast with the warm Mocha Mousse, last year’s Color of the Year. In interiors, Cloud Dancer is a true ally. Pour 2026, Pantone surprend en plaçant la nuance Cloud Dancer (Pantone 11-4201) sous les feux des projecteurs : un blanc doux, subtil, presque vaporeux, symbole d’un nouveau départ et d’une pause bienvenue dans un monde visuel saturé. Cette teinte, la plus légère jamais choisie par l’institut, ne se contente pas d’être un neutre parmi d’autres : elle "favorise une véritable relaxation" et une concentration qui permettent à l’esprit de vagabonder et à la créativité de s’épanouir, laissant ainsi place à l’innovation”, explique Pantone.
