Design and History
Design and History
From his workshop in Northern Italy, Giuseppe Rivadossi works wood the way others work stone — with patience, precision, and deep respect for the material. Together with his sons Clemente and Emanuele, he carries forward a craft that neither machine nor series production can replicate.
The Basilio is its most direct expression: a monolithic linden form whose surface — smooth or gouged — bears the mark of the hand that shaped it. Its spare silhouette sits equally well in a contemporary interior or a space layered with history.
Maintenance and Care
Maintenance and Care
- Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth to maintain its natural luster.
- Over time, the natural finish may develop a patina, adding character to the piece. To preserve the wood’s appearance, avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and humidity.
