IMPORTANT NOTICE
Each material has unique properties that contribute to the longevity and beauty of Source Édition products. While our materials are chosen for their durability, they require proper care to maintain their original appearance. Variations in color, texture, and finish are natural characteristics and should not be considered defects.
This care guide provides general recommendations. Source Édition is not responsible for damages resulting from improper maintenance or the use of third-party cleaning products. Always follow the manufacturer’s recommendations regarding cleaning agents and specific care procedures

Linden wood
Linden wood, also known as limewood, is a lightweight yet durable material appreciated for its fine, even grain and smooth texture. It is often used in high-end furniture for its ability to age gracefully.
CARE & MAINTENANCE
Dust regularly with a soft, dry, or slightly damp cloth. Avoid excessive moisture, as linden wood is naturally more porous than other hardwoods. Immediately clean up spills to prevent absorption and staining. Use only mild soapy water and avoid strong solvents or ammonia-based products that could alter the finish.
To protect the wood, use coasters and felt pads under objects. Linden wood should be kept in a stable environment with moderate humidity to prevent warping or cracking. Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight, which could cause discoloration or drying of the wood.

Blown glass
Blown and molded glass is an artisanal technic known for its delicate aesthetic qualities. Each piece is unique, with subtle variations in thickness, color, and texture. While durable, it requires careful handling to prevent damage.
CARE & MAINTENANCE
Clean glass surfaces with a soft cloth and a gentle glass cleaner or a mix of water and vinegar. Avoid abrasive sponges or rough materials that could scratch the surface. For delicate glassware, hand washing with warm soapy water is recommended, as extreme temperature changes may cause cracks.
Avoid placing blown glass objects in areas prone to shocks or vibrations. When placing items inside blown glass containers, do so carefully to prevent internal stress that could lead to cracks. Prolonged exposure to sunlight may cause subtle changes in color over time, depending on the glass composition.

Porcelain
Porcelain is a refined ceramic material known for its strength, durability, and resistance to heat and moisture. It is created by firing a special blend of clays at very high temperatures, resulting in a dense, non-porous surface that is both elegant and functional. Natural variations in color and texture make each porcelain piece unique.
CARE & MAINTENANCE
For daily cleaning, use a soft, damp cloth with a PH-balanced neutral soap. Avoid abrasive sponges or harsh chemicals that could scratch or dull the surface. Stubborn stains can be removed with a mild ceramic cleaner, but avoid acidic or ammonia-based products that may damage the finish.
Although porcelain is highly heat-resistant, avoid direct exposure to extreme temperature changes, as thermal shock can cause cracks. Always use trivets or coasters to protect the surface from hot or rough objects. Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight may result in slight discoloration over time.

Walnut
Walnut is a dense hardwood prized for its rich color, smooth grain, and exceptional durability. Over time, natural light exposure will enhance and warm the wood's tone, adding character to each piece.
CARE & MAINTENANCE
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth to prevent buildup. For deeper cleaning, use a slightly damp cloth with mild soap, then immediately dry with a soft cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, alcohol-based cleaners, and excess water, as these can affect the wood’s natural oils. Periodically apply a high-quality wax or oil to maintain the wood's luster.
To prevent warping or cracking, avoid placing walnut furniture in overly dry or humid environments. Use coasters and placemats to protect the surface from heat, moisture, and scratches. Prolonged exposure to sunlight may alter the wood’s color—consider moving objects placed on it periodically to ensure even aging.
