Immoweek's choice: reissuing forgotten icons...
BY VALÉRIE GARNIER
Founded by Isabelle de Ponfilly and Joséphine Bursacchi, Source Édition "brings back to life the timeless spirit of 1950s-1970s design through faithful and signed reissues, produced exclusively in Europe with the utmost respect for the originals." Mother and daughter, two figures who mark their era through their commitment and distinct but complementary contributions in the field of culture and arts. The official launch of Source Édition will take place on Sunday, April 6 and will be held in Milan, at Labo and Alcova. This is "Immoweek's" choice for Thursday, March 27...
"There are objects that carry within them a soul, a silent memory, a spark of history that time has veiled. With my daughter, Joséphine Bursacchi, we have chosen to listen to these whispers from the past and bring them back to life through Source Édition. This project, woven with passion and transmission, gives new life to design masterpieces from the 1950s to 1970s, offering them a renewed place in our interiors and our eyes," Isabelle de Ponfilly tells us with her characteristic elegance.
The first collection, unveiled as a preview during Milan Design Week from April 6 to 13, 2025, honors five exceptional signatures. Two of these pieces come from the Mobilier national archives. "Thanks to the expertise of French and Italian craftsmen and manufacturers, they are reborn today with respect for the original gesture and intention."
