Source, Principe: Two New Publishers Between Reissue and Creation
The year 2025 saw the creation of two new contemporary furniture publishing houses.
Founded by the mother-daughter duo Isabelle de Ponfilly and Joséphine Bursacchi, in partnership with the Mobilier national, Source Édition sets out to breathe new life into a generation of major creators from the 1950s to 1970s, whose avant-garde, even visionary work has fallen into obscurity. A commitment to preserving and passing on a heritage, which takes the form of faithful reissues of iconic pieces in collaboration with the designers or their rights holders: works by André Monpoix (with the Mobilier national), Turenne Chevallereau (with the Mobilier national), Giuseppe Rivadossi, Ben Swildens, and Claude Courtecuisse are published with an extreme attention to detail.
Source Édition inaugurated its permanent showroom last October, near the Place des Victoires.
