Source Édition: French expertise celebrated in Milan
During Milan Design Week, Source Édition took part in the exhibition "Faire Ensemble – Crafting the French Art de Vivre", presented in the 5VIE district. Organised by Manufactures nationales – Sèvres & Mobilier national, the exhibition highlighted the excellence of French craftsmanship through a dialogue between artisanal heritage and contemporary creation.
Founded by Isabelle de Ponfilly and Joséphine Bursacchi, Source Édition continues its work around the reissue of iconic 20th-century design pieces, reinterpreting them through contemporary uses and aesthetics. For this edition, several new pieces enriched this approach: "TU-TU" was presented for the first time in a walnut-veneered version, offering a warmer and more enveloping reading of the piece. The "Pliée" lamp, also unveiled in Milan, explored the interplay of metal and light through a modular construction conceived for use as both a table lamp and a wall light. The collection was completed by several creations extending this reflection on the reactivation of the design heritage, balancing respect for the original lines with adaptation to contemporary aesthetic and functional expectations.

À l’occasion de la Milan Design Week, Source Édition a participé à l’exposition « Faire Ensemble – Crafting the French Art de Vivre », présentée dans le quartier des 5VIE. Portée par Manufactures nationales – Sèvres & Mobilier national, cette exposition mettait en avant l’excellence des savoir-faire français à travers un dialogue entre héritage artisanal et création contemporaine.
Fondée par Isabelle de Ponfilly et Joséphine Bursacchi, Source Édition poursuit son travail autour de la réédition de pièces emblématiques du design du XXe siècle, en les réinterprétant dans des usages et des écritures contemporaines. Pour cette édition, plusieurs nouveautés venaient enrichir cette démarche: « TU-TU » était présenté pour la première fois dans une version plaquée noyer, offrant une lecture plus chaleureuse et plus enveloppante de cette pièce. La lampe « Pliée », également dévoilée à Milan, explorait quant à elle le travail du métal et de la lumière à travers une construction modulable, pensée aussi bien pour un usage en lampe de table qu’en applique murale. L’ensemble était complété par plusieurs créations prolongeant cette réflexion sur la réactivation du patrimoine design, entre respect des lignes d’origine et adaptation aux attentes esthétiques et fonctionnelles contemporaines.
