After the Mobilier national, Source Édition continues its journey through emblematic cultural landmarks with a new chapter at Le French Design by VIA. From 6 October 2025 to 23 February 2026, the TU-TU pouf by Turenne Chevallereau (1968), in collaboration with the Mobilier national, is featured in the exhibition Résurgences. This series of reissues highlights 20th-century heritage in dialogue with contemporary creation, set within a retro-futuristic scenography imagined by Studio Pauline Leprince.
Reissuing means reviving!
The trend toward reissuing twentieth-century design masterpieces has recently taken root in French publishing, whether at the initiative of major houses or more specialized players. This approach showcases the exceptional savoir-faire of these companies, sustains their legitimacy, and extends their own history by positioning them within the realm of exceptional pieces. In doing so, they foster the emergence of a long-arc design-anchored in a living history and a fruitful dialogue with contemporary creation.
These reissues embody what Jean-Paul Bath, Director of the association LE FRENCH DESIGN, dubbed “Lyrical Design”: the inimitable definition of a French art of living and a French way of designing - haloed with elegance, infused with poetry and sensitivity, and underpinned by extraordinary craftsmanship.
The exhibition RÉSURGENCES explores this growing phenomenon through a selection of more than twenty pieces published by houses committed to rediscovering French design and preserving its high quality. The whole is presented in a retro-futurist scenography by rising interior architecture star Pauline Leprince.

Each piece is presented as a character in a film, with the set drawn from the collective memory of France. The scenography acts as a visual and emotional palimpsest, revealing what was thought forgotten and what one had hoped to rediscover.
The twenty selected pieces are shown not as museum artifacts, but as living presences, reinstated within a sensitive narrative, illuminated as reawakened icons of everyday life.
This scenography offers an emotional journey through the history of French design, using a cinematic play of shadow and light to unveil the buried soul of these forgotten or once-invisible objects. The centenary of the decorative arts serves as the narrative framework: a century of transmission, craftsmanship, styles, and emotion.
