National design collections finally have a dedicated exhibition space.
Unique in France, the National Design Gallery will open its doors on 10 June 2026 in Saint-Étienne, at the heart of the Cité du Design. More than just a new cultural venue, this opening represents a significant recognition of design within the French cultural landscape, establishing the gallery as a space for exhibition, dialogue, and knowledge sharing.
The National Design Gallery is supported by a network of ambassadors and patrons who contribute to its development and help enhance its visibility among professionals, institutions, and businesses, both in France and internationally.
As part of this initiative, Isabelle de Ponfilly, co-founder of Source Edition, is among the project’s ambassadors. In addition, Source Edition is also a patron of “Le Seuil,” the gallery’s entrance hall, conceived as a space for discovery, mediation, and encounters centred on design.
From opening day, visitors will also be able to discover and purchase two signature pieces from the Source Édition collection in the Gallery shop: the Jumelles lamp in Antique Red and Miniflore No. 1.
